The ground rules for using this website and the member portal. Your membership agreement, signed separately, governs the care itself.
1. Agreement
These terms apply to your use of vitaledgeoptimization.com and portal.vitaledgeoptimization.com, operated by Vital Edge Optimization. By using either, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
These terms cover the website and the portal software. The medical services themselves are governed by the membership agreement you sign when you join. Where the two conflict regarding your care, the membership agreement controls.
2. This website is not medical advice
Everything on this website is general information. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and reading it does not create a physician-patient relationship. Neither does submitting the assessment form, exchanging emails with us, or having an introductory call. That relationship begins only when you have been formally accepted as a member and have completed the required intake and consent.
3. In an emergency, do not use this site
The portal and its messaging are not monitored around the clock and must never be used for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. Do not send a portal message and wait for a reply.
4. Where we can practice
Our physicians hold licensure in specific states and can provide medical services only to people located in those states. If you are outside them, you may join our waitlist, but we cannot treat you.
5. Who can use this
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use the portal on behalf of someone else, you must be legally authorized to do so.
6. Your account
Keep your password private and do not share your login. Tell us promptly at admin@vitaledgeoptimization.com if you believe someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity under your account, other than activity resulting from our own failure.
Give us accurate information. We build clinical decisions on what you tell us — an incomplete medication or allergy history is a safety issue, not a paperwork issue.
7. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access another member's information, probe or interfere with our systems, scrape or bulk-extract data, upload malicious code, or use the portal to harass anyone. We may suspend access for conduct that endangers our members or systems.
If you are a security researcher and you find a vulnerability, we would genuinely like to hear from you. Email us before disclosing it publicly.
8. Connected devices
Connecting a wearable is optional. When you connect one, you authorize us to retrieve the categories of data you approved on that manufacturer's own consent screen, and you confirm that the account you are connecting is yours.
Those devices are consumer products, not medical instruments. Their readings can be wrong, delayed, or missing, and we treat them as one signal among many rather than as a diagnostic. We are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of a third party's service, and you remain subject to that manufacturer's own terms. You can disconnect at any time from your portal.
9. Our content
The design, text, and materials on these sites belong to Vital Edge Optimization and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial purposes as a member or prospective member. Your health information remains yours; nothing here transfers ownership of it to us.
10. Availability
We work to keep the portal available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may need to take it down for maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the portal entirely, we will give you a way to obtain your records first.
11. Disclaimers
Except as expressly stated in your membership agreement, the website and portal are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free.
Nothing in these terms limits our professional obligations to you as a patient, or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vital Edge Optimization is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website or portal software, or for lost profits or lost data. This limitation applies to the software and the site. It does not apply to, and is not intended to limit, liability for professional medical care, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We will update the date above, and for material changes we will tell you rather than relying on you to re-read this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
